The Stockport branch of the RSPCA, like all other branches, is separate and independent from the parent charity (The National Society).
Our branch is made up of dedicated volunteers who on their own time work together to protect and care for animals in the Stockport, East Cheshire and West Derbyshire area, Charity Number: 226284.
The branch does not receive any government funding and therefore relies on our fundraising and the kind donations from the public. We are constantly raising funds to assist in the prevention of cruelty to animals and to assist with re-homing animals which have, for one of many reasons, found themselves without a home. If you have a spare pound or two, it is always welcome, many don't realise how much of a positive impact a small donation can make to animals within your area. Every penny counts and we thank those who support us with donations, time and re-homing our animals.

Did you know that all our animals are wormed, flead, vaccinated, micro-chipped and neutered/spayed (depending on age). This could cost you up to £350.00 when buying an animal from a commercial or private seller. We of course don't charge for these as we believe in the welfare and wellbeing of all our animals. Our focus is to provide the right home for each of our animals, profit is not in the equation.
