The Branch operates schemes to help people who are on low incomes / means tested benefits with the costs of neutering and treatment for their pets. The schemes are not free - as the owner will be required to make a contribution to the cost. The neutering or treatment is usually carried out at the owner's local vets.
The neutering scheme is jointly funded by Stockport M.B.C.
One of the Branch's main aims is to promote sensible and informed pet ownership. It is hoped that the neutering scheme has reduced the numbers of unwanted dogs and cats in the area over the years, but there is much more work to be done.
Please contact Helen on 0161 440 7429 with enquiries regarding the assistance scheme and obtaining assistance vouchers.
