WE NEED YOUR HELP
As the Branch does not have its own animal centre, the opportunities for volunteers to do "hands-on" work with animals is limited. However, new volunteers are always needed so that we can help more animals in the local area. Volunteers can devote as much or as little time as they want to the work of the Branch. Here ar a few ideas:
Fundraising
The Branch is trying to increase its fundraising activities to ensure that the Branch can continue and even expand its work. It costs around £50 a week to kennel each dog which requires re-homing and this figure excludes any vet's bills, vaccination and neutering c harges and advertising costs. Sadly, some dogs and cats are not re-homed for weeks or even months.

Advertising
If you own or work in a shop, cafe, offices etc. - would you be willing to to display a poster advertising the animals which need re-homing / fundraising events etc. Alternatively could you provide a secure location for a static collection box?
Home Visiting
Home visits are carried out before any animal is re-homed. The Natioal Society organises training courses for new volunteers to attend.
Animal Transportation
We sometimes need help taking animals to and from the vets for neutering and treatment.
Administration
Much of the work of the Branch requires considerable administration.
